Data Visualization Specialist (Remote from US)

About the position This role is designed for a data professional who thrives at the intersection of data engineering, visualization, and user engagement. You will translate complex datasets into clear, actionable insights, leveraging your expertise in tools like Qlik and PowerBI. The position requires collaboration with end users to design intuitive dashboards and interfaces, ensuring that insights are both accessible and impactful. You will work in a secure, cloud-based environment, optimizing data pipelines and processing large volumes of information efficiently. This is a fully remote opportunity with flexibility, though proximity to Fort Meade, MD, is preferred for occasional on-site engagement. The role offers exposure to AWS cloud technologies and the chance to contribute to advanced analytics initiatives. Responsibilities • Design and develop interactive data visualizations and dashboards to meet end-user needs • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure visualizations support decision-making • Manage, clean, and optimize large datasets for performance and accuracy • Work within AWS environments to integrate data pipelines and analytics workflows • Apply best practices in UI design and user engagement to enhance accessibility and usability • Support the application of statistical modeling, time-series forecasting, and geospatial analytics when relevant Requirements • 5+ years of experience in data engineering, data management, or related roles • Strong SQL skills and experience identifying and resolving data issues • Hands-on experience with Qlik and PowerBI tools for visualization and reporting • Familiarity with database design, data cleaning, and performance optimization • Experience working in AWS cloud environments (AWS certifications preferred) • Background in UI design and end-user engagement • TS clearance (T5 investigation closed within the last 2 years) or CBP clearance Nice-to-haves • experience with machine learning, statistical modeling, time-series forecasting, or geospatial analytics Benefits • Competitive salary and performance-based incentives • Fully remote work with flexible scheduling • Opportunity to work with large-scale datasets and advanced analytics tools • Collaborative, innovative, and mission-focused work environment • Professional development opportunities and exposure to cloud technologies Apply tot his job
