Early Childhood Educator - Yaphank, NY

Prepare and assist with Early Childhood Programs, including Little Farmers Preschool. Assist with festivals and special events when necessary. Assist with the day-to-day operations of Farm Education programs if necessary. This is a part-time permanent 25 hours per week position. Required Qualifications: Associate's degree or similar degree with experience in Early Childhood Education or Outdoor Education Two years of paid or volunteer experience working with children and the public. Ability to lift 10-20 pounds unassisted. Ability to meet travel requirements associated with this position. Ability to meet acceptable background check standards, if required. Ability to work flexible hours, which may include evenings and weekends, as appropriate. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Environmental Education. Additional education and training in the field of education. Additional education in the areas of agriculture, animal sciences, natural sciences, human development, and consumer sciences. Additional teaching experience related to educational areas listed above. Experience teaching subjects related to agriculture, animal sciences, natural sciences, human development, and consumer sciences.
