**Experienced External Support Engineer – Content Tools and Workflow Expert**

Our team is comprised of talented individuals from diverse backgrounds, united by a shared passion for storytelling and a commitment to excellence. **Job Summary** As an External Support Engineer at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for providing technical support to our content creation teams, creating reference materials and training programs, and collaborating with our tools engineering team to resolve issues and improve our content tools and workflows. If you're a motivated and detail-oriented individual with a passion for problem-solving and a strong technical background, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity. **Essential Functions/Responsibilities** * Provide technical support to content/external teams in regard to use of content tools, including troubleshooting and resolving issues in a timely and efficient manner. * Create reference materials and provide training to get external teams up to speed with the toolset, ensuring seamless adoption and utilization. * Solve and debug possible issues with tools and workflows, collaborating with our tools engineering team to resolve complex problems and improve overall efficiency. * Escalate more complex or problematic issues to the tool development team, working closely with production to track these issues in JIRA and ensure timely resolution. * Advocate for tools, workflow improvements, and suggestions from external teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. * Partner with other engineers to develop tools and processes that improve efficiency and quality, driving innovation and excellence in our content creation processes. * Guide or lead cross-disciplinary dialogs to drive features from initial concept to completion, ensuring that our content tools and workflows meet the evolving needs of our content creation teams. * Exemplify reliability, accountability, and professionalism in all work-related interactions, setting a high standard for our team and inspiring others to follow suit. **Skills and Abilities** * Ability to read and understand C# code, with a strong foundation in software development principles and practices. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to work effectively with external partners and stakeholders. * Positive attitude and ability to receive and provide objective and constructive feedback, fostering a culture of growth and improvement. * Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage numerous requests simultaneously, ensuring timely resolution and high-quality outcomes. * Self-motivating and proactive, with a strong sense of initiative and a willingness to take on new challenges and responsibilities. **Education and Experience** * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience in a related field. * Experience supporting a live service or tool environment, with a strong understanding of software development lifecycles and best practices. * Unity 3D game and tool development experience, with a strong foundation in game development principles and practices. * Experience with Jira, Confluence, or other defect-tracking software, with a strong understanding of project management principles and practices. * iOS and Android mobile development experience, with a strong foundation in mobile app development principles and practices. * 5 years of experience in delivering production-level code in a professional environment, with a strong track record of success and a commitment to excellence. **Position Type/Expected Hours of Work** Our core hours are 10:00 am to 6:00 pm CST, which means you should be available for meetings and other work-related activities during this time. We rely on market indicators to determine compensation and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to get it right. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary and will also be dependent on your location.
