Experienced Fractional CFO – E-commerce / Wholesale (Cash, Profit & Cost Control)

We are a growing e-commerce and wholesale business looking for an experienced fractional CFO or senior finance professional to work with us on a monthly, part-time basis. At this stage, our goal is to get a strong, external financial view of the business, specifically around cost control, profitability, and cash flow discipline. This is not a junior role. We are looking for someone who can challenge assumptions, scrutinize costs, and push profit and cash flow to remain a priority as we grow. What We Need Support With This role is focused on financial clarity and commercial discipline, not bookkeeping. Key areas include: Reviewing and scrutinizing business costs Identifying inefficiencies, leakage, and improvement opportunities Cash flow forecasting and cash management Stock & inventory forecasting, linked to lead times and cash impact Margin analysis across products and channels Helping us pressure-test growth plans from a profit and cash perspective Monthly working sessions to review numbers and agree clear next actions Engagement & Time Commitment Once per month 1–2 days per month Initial engagement focused on assessment and recommendations Potential for ongoing work if the fit is right Ideal Background We are looking for someone who: Has strong experience in e-commerce and/or wholesale businesses Has worked as a CFO, Head of Finance, or senior finance lead Is confident reviewing costs and challenging founders constructively Understands inventory-driven cash cycles Is practical, commercial, and decisive Has experience working with small but growing companies Experience Requirements Relevant finance experience Proven experience with: Cost control & profitability analysis Cash flow forecasting Inventory / stock-based businesses E-commerce, wholesale, or retail experience required To Apply please include: A brief summary of your e-commerce / wholesale experience Examples of how you’ve identified cost savings or improved cash flow Apply tot his job
