The Opportunity As a Remote Healthcare Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you'll be the primary point of contact for our clients' members, providing timely, empathetic, and effective support via inbound phone calls. This is a permanent work-from-home role that requires a unique blend of technical knowledge, communication skills, and compassion. Key Responsibilities Respond to inbound phone calls from members, addressing their queries and concerns in a professional and empathetic manner. Perform a range of tasks, including: PCP Change/Provider Lookup: Assist members with changing their primary care physicians or looking up provider information. Medical Benefits Lookup: Investigate medical benefits, including benefit maximums, copay/coinsurance, prior authorization requirements, and coverage. Ancillary Benefits Review: Examine ancillary benefits, such as dental, vision, and over-the-counter benefits. Claims Inquiries: Process claims inquiries and help members understand their bills for services (e.g., MRI procedures). Enrollment/Disenrollment Inquiries: Answer questions related to enrollment and disenrollment. Grievances/Complaints: Address member grievances and complaints in a timely and professional manner. Billing and Payment: Assist with billing-related tasks, such as making payments, reviewing transaction history, and responding to premium inquiries. LEP Inquiries and Disputes: Manage LEP (Limited English Proficiency) inquiries and disputes. Material Requests: Help members with material requests, including ID cards, large print/Braille materials, and catalogs. Self-Help Options: Provide information on self-help options, such as member portals. Local Location Information: Offer details on local locations for pharmacies, OTC services, and specialists. Essential Qualifications and Skills To succeed in this role, you'll need: A High School diploma or equivalent. A minimum of 18 months of call center experience, preferably in a healthcare or customer service setting. At least 2 years of computer experience in a work environment, with the ability to multitask and navigate multiple systems. Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to display empathy and care when interacting with members. A dedicated workspace in your home, free from distractions, with a reliable internet connection (download speed: 50 Mb/s; upload speed: 10 Mb/s). Note that wireless access/WIFI is not permitted. While not essential, having a healthcare background is considered a plus, and experience with healthcare systems and services will be highly valued.
