You will also support general education staff in the development and implementation of strategies to increase student participation, engagement, and skill development. Your key responsibilities will include: * Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) that cater to the unique needs and abilities of students * Delivering instruction and collecting data on progress towards students' goals and objectives * Collaborating with general education staff to develop and implement strategies to increase student participation, engagement, and skill development * Providing support and accommodations to students with diverse needs, including those with physical, emotional, or cognitive disabilities * Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and communicating regularly with parents and guardians * Participating in professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in special education **Qualifications** To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you will need to possess the following qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Education, or a related field * Active Ohio License for Special Education * Previous school-based virtual experience * 2-3 reference checks prior to start * Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues * Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities, with a flexible and positive attitude * Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities **Schedule** As a remote Special Education Teacher with our partner district, you will be required to work a standard 40-hour week, Monday through Friday. Your start and end dates will be ASAP, with a contract duration of approximately 10 months (August 2024 to May 2025).
