Google Ads and SEO Account Manager

Department: Digital Marketing Team Reports To: Senior Director of Digital Marketing Position Overview The Google Ads and SEO Account Manager oversees the onboarding and continued optimization of client Google Ads and SEO campaigns by holding successful Discovery Calls; acting as a liaison between clients and our 3rd party white label partners; and ensuring all campaigns meet requirements, timelines, and quality standards. The role requires strong communication and organization skills, with core responsibilities including, but not limited to: • Leading several client Discovery Calls per week • Working with our third party partners to ensure the campaigns they build meet client expectation and goals • Managing client questions and campaign requests • Communicating campaign metrics and analysis to clients • Building and sending monthly reports • Traveling 2x per quarter to sales events to speak with potential clients Detailed Responsibilities Project Coordination & Communication • Organize and oversee the creation of Google Ads and SEO campaigns from onboarding to publish • Google Ads - learn from the client what their goals are and what services they want to market, then work with the third party to build a campaign to accomplish these goals • SEO - learn from the client what services they want to focus on; work with the third party to conduct keyword research; provide research to client with your suggestions to ultimately agree on the keywords with client • Develop, maintain, and communicate campaign plans, timelines, and deliverables to all stakeholders. • Manage the optimization of each campaign once the campaign is published • Serve as the primary day-to-day point of contact for clients, ensuring their expectations are managed, questions answered, and requirements clarified and documented • Schedule and facilitate project meetings, take notes, and track action items Task Management & Cross-Functional Support • Prioritize and monitor daily/weekly tasks of team to ensure they’re completed on schedule and to client satisfaction • Collaborate with the team to coordinate solutions, identify blockers, and resolve issues • Provide quality control feedback to third party team members during all stages of campaign Client Coordination • Collect and relay client feedback, assets, and requirements to the team • Manage campaign updates and provide reports for clients • Proactively anticipate client needs, manage expectations about timeline and lead quality/quantity, and help resolve any issues that arise Quality Assurance & Reporting • Track and report campaign progress and any problems to your manager on a regular basis • Send monthly reports to client • Meet with clients to discuss results as needed Travel • Travel to weekend sales events 2x per quarter (Friday - Sunday) • Set up and manage the MWM conference table where you will respond to client questions regarding our services • Main objective is to answer client questions and get clients to schedule a sales call Required QualificationsEducation & Experience • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Project Management, Digital Media, or a related field preferred. • 2+ years of experience in project coordination or project support, ideally in a digital marketing agency • Proven track record supporting Google Ads and/or SEO campaigns and collaborating with cross-functional teams. • Experience interfacing with clients or acting as a liaison between internal teams and external stakeholders is highly desirable. Technical Skills • Comfort with basic reporting and documentation tools for status updates and project communication. (Google Ads, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMRush) • Familiarity with project management platforms (Monday.com) • Proficiency with office productivity tools (Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Box, Calendly).
