About the position The position serves as the district Human Resources Manager, overseeing various human resources functions including recruitment and selection, benefits administration, and training operations. The manager will advise and supervise lower-level human resources staff, providing direction to district staff on human resources matters. Additionally, the role involves developing and implementing a district human resources plan and advising the district Business and Human Resources Administrator on human resources-related issues. This position is designated as telework eligible on a hybrid basis, requiring the selected applicant to work at least three days per week in the office. The selected applicant must complete an initial training period before being eligible to telework, and all telework requests will be reviewed and must be approved by ODOT's Chief Human Resources Officer. Responsibilities • Oversee district recruitment and selection processes. • Manage benefits administration and training operations. • Advise and supervise lower-level human resources staff. • Provide direction to district staff on human resources matters. • Develop and implement district human resources plan. • Advise district Business and Human Resources Administrator on human resources issues. Requirements • Completion of undergraduate core program in human resources, business, or public administration. • 24 months of experience in human resources, including 12 months of experience in supervisory and/or management principles and techniques. • Alternatively, 4 years of experience in human resources. • Alternatively, 12 months of experience as Human Capital Management Senior Analyst, 64613. • Equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.
