Investment Analyst – Buy Side (Valuations, Funds, Portfolio Analysis) - Contract to Hire

We are a family office investment platform seeking a high-caliber Investment Analyst to support portfolio management across public markets, private credit (CLOs), hedge funds, private equity, and venture capital. This role requires strong analytical skills, fast execution, and clean, decision-ready output suitable for investment committee presentations. Key Responsibilities: Build financial models (DCF, IRR, scenario analysis, sensitivities). Prepare 1–2 page investment memos summarizing opportunities, risks, and recommendations. Analyze funds (HF/PE/VC/private credit) and extract key performance metrics. Assist in portfolio monitoring, exposure tracking, liquidity analysis, and reporting. Review structured products, term sheets, and fund documents. Maintain clean, organized Excel/Sheets files. Deliver concise, professional summaries on short deadlines. Required Skills: Strong valuation skills (DCF, comparables, IRR, yield calculations). Excellent Excel (INDEX/MATCH, XLOOKUP, scenario tables, dynamic dashboards). Ability to read and interpret fund reports and financial statements. Excellent written English; ability to draft investment memos. Familiarity with hedge funds, private credit, or PE/VC is a plus. CFA Level 1/2/3 is an advantage but not required.
