About the position
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Broker Assistant to support Brokers in day-to-day policy management, client servicing, and administrative operations. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate policy documentation, timely billing, and exceptional service delivery to both internal teams and external clients.
Responsibilities
• Proactively assist Brokers with policy management, proposal preparation, and presentation development to support client needs.
• Perform clerical and administrative functions including photocopying, scanning, faxing, word processing, and filing.
• Prepare, issue, and track client invoices; identify and resolve billing discrepancies to ensure accurate internal and client records.
• Support Brokers with coverage questions, endorsements, renewals, and program adjustments to keep policies current and compliant.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with small clients and internal team members.
• Enter and update policy-related information including new bonds, client demographics, renewals, and document uploads, under supervision as needed.
• Assist with maintaining organized client files and documentation in internal systems.
Requirements
• Prior experience in insurance, brokerage, or administrative support preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Customer-service oriented with a collaborative mindset.
