Salary Range: $70,000 - $80,000 plus commission
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Account Manager to join our team. In this mid-level role, you will be responsible for identifying potential customers, building relationships, and closing sales to meet or exceed targets, drive revenue growth and expand market reach within a defined geographic region. You will act as the primary point of contact between the company and its clients, ensuring exceptional customer service and driving business growth.
This individual will build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understand their needs, and present tailored Avant solutions. The Account Manager plays a critical role in expanding Avant’s footprint and delivering innovative, data-driven language proficiency products that make a lasting impact in education and beyond.
The Account Manager will be responsible for the Northern/Northeast territory and should live in the area.
Responsibilities:
- Achieve and exceed assigned regional sales goals and performance metrics.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and referrals.
- Present, promote, and sell products/services to existing and prospective customers.
- Prospect, develop, and close new client relationships in education and professional sectors.
- Conduct engaging, solution-oriented sales presentations and product demonstrations to key stakeholders.
- Prepare and submit regular sales reports, forecasts, and market feedback.
- Accurately maintain CRM data (Salesforce), forecast sales, and provide timely reporting.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams (Marketing, Customer Success, Client Support, Product) to support customer needs and strategic initiatives.
- Stay informed about market trends, competitors, and industry developments.
Performance expectations for this role include:
- Sales Growth & Revenue Generation
- Measured by quarterly and annual sales targets met or exceeded
- Pipeline Development & Conversion Rate
- Measured by number of qualified leads, opportunities, and closed deals per month
- Customer Engagement & Retention
- Measured by client renewal rates, upsell success, and satisfaction scores
- CRM Accuracy & Reporting
- Measured by timeliness and accuracy of CRM entries, forecasts, and reports
- Strategic Relationship Building
- Measured by growth in high-value accounts and stakeholder feedback
- Monthly Reports and Forecasting
Qualifications:
- Proven work experience as a Sales Representative or similar role.
- Proven track record in managing the sales cycle and closing sales.
- Must be willing to travel up to 50% of the time
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong time-management and organizational abilities.
- Self-motivated with a results-oriented approach
- Basic proficiency in CRM software and MS Office Suite.
- Bachelor’s degree, Master’s preferred
