About the Role Offshore Accountants are crucial to producing timely, accurate financial reports for our Canadian clients and sharing insights with Shift's Management for continuous improvement. - Scope of Work: Tasks & Deliverables: You'll join a team reporting to a Production Manager, responsible for bookkeeping, monthly reports, and year-end financial statements for a designated client portfolio. - Client Communication & Support: You'll handle client requests, assist Account and Production Managers, and manage client information efficiently. - File Management: Use software such as Xero, Hubdoc, and SharePoint, to manage and create client reports. - Providing Back-Up: Participate in cross-training and provide coverage for team members when needed. - Additional Services: You may also perform associate pay calculations, payroll processing, and A/P payments, as well as assist with other tasks as requested. - Working Together to Ensure Excellence: Maintain excellence through organization, communication, attention to detail, efficient use of technology, proactive client engagement, and thorough record-keeping. Job Requirements: - University degree in accounting  - 2-3 years of professional experience preferred - Experience in account reconciliation, accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing  - Experience managing and preparing financial reports - Strong communication skills in English (verbal and written) - Self-driven and ability to work under minimum supervision - Reliable Internet Connection - Good quality computer or laptop, webcam, microphone, and headphones  - 2 monitors are required Work hours: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm MST.  Pay: $1200 - 2950 CAD depending on experience.
