Skidmore College, a highly selective and nationally ranked liberal arts institution, is seeking a talented and dedicated educator to join its Department of Mathematics and Statistics as an Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor of Mathematics. The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Skidmore College is comprised of approximately 12 full-time faculty members and is housed in the state-of-the-art Billie Tisch Center for Integrated Sciences. This environment fosters interdisciplinary connections and collaboration across the sciences, arts, and humanities. The successful candidate will be expected to teach a broad range of courses within the mathematics curriculum, develop courses for the First-Year Experience (FYE) seminar program and senior seminar, and demonstrate a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and research in an undergraduate liberal arts setting.
To be considered for this position, candidates must possess a doctorate in mathematics with a research focus in pure mathematics. A strong commitment to teaching and mentoring undergraduate students is essential, as is the ability to contribute to the department's and college's mission through service and leadership.
