About the position Responsibilities • Create curriculum design standards based on proven methodologies and emerging technologies. • Provide expertise on effective curriculum design and assessment methodologies for adult learners. • Ensure the learner's journey is impactful and supports an effective learning environment. • Establish metrics for evaluating training effectiveness. • Collaborate with outside vendors to complete multiple projects on time and to standards. • Work with IT Project Management on technical issues affecting curriculum. • Manage the Curriculum Development Department to deliver courses on schedule. • Communicate project statuses regularly with leadership. • Design curriculum for a diverse, multi-lingual audience across various platforms. • Maintain knowledge of curricular trends and report findings for recommendations. • Cultivate positive relationships with stakeholders and understand their needs. • Create an environment that embraces change and new ideas. • Solve complex problems using systematic analysis and evaluation of solutions. • Explore professional learning opportunities for department staff. • Ensure project documents are archived and maintain confidentiality. • Recruit, train, and evaluate direct reports in collaboration with the Instructional Design Manager. Requirements • Master's degree in a related field preferred. • 10+ years of professional leadership experience managing eLearning/microlearning programs. • 10+ years of experience in training/education and creating adult eLearning/microlearning programs. • Advanced knowledge of instructional design principles. • Proficiency in multiple eLearning development tools and Learning Management Systems. • Ability to manage remote employees across multiple locations and time zones. • Exceptional leadership and communication skills. • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. • Knowledge of the Motion Picture and Television Industry and Unions preferred. • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and other regulatory standards preferred. Nice-to-haves • Knowledge of safety and compliance-related training development. • Experience with instructional design for diverse audiences.
