About the position
The Associate Documentation Specialist supports the Technical Writing team by executing process-driven documentation tasks, maintaining existing content, and ensuring accuracy and consistency across routine updates and release communications for ComplianceAlpha.
Responsibilities
• Run predefined queries and reports to identify documentation requiring updates.
• Format, compile, and publish release notes using established templates and standards.
• Complete quarterly and recurring updates to list-based and reference documentation.
• Ensure content adheres to documentation standards, style guides, and formatting requirements.
• Track documentation updates and maintain change records and checklists.
• Collaborate with technical writers, product teams, and SMEs to gather required update inputs.
• Follow established documentation workflows and suggest process improvements to increase efficiency and quality.
Requirements
• Associate or bachelor's degree, plus at least 1 year of relevant work experience.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured processes and formatting standards.
• Strong written communication skills (grammar, clarity, and formatting).
• Ability to manage recurring tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional attention to detail and consistency.
• Able to understand basic technical concepts and apply documentation standards.
• Well-organized and able to work as part of a fast-paced team to meet demanding timelines.
• Flexible and able to juggle multiple requests while maintaining quality.
• Ability to learn and effectively use AI-assisted productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot) to streamline documentation workflows.
Nice-to-haves
• Experience in administrative, operations, documentation, QA, or support role (including internships or relevant coursework).
• Comfort working with structured content such as lists, tables, templates, and checklists.
• Experience in a SaaS or technology environment.
• Confluence and Jira experience or familiarity.
• Experience using AI-powered tools (such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar assistants).
• Comfort adapting to new technologies and automation tools as part of documentation processes.
