About the opportunity
Dayforce’s Product & Technology (SP&T) organization is seeking an experienced Cloud Change and Configuration Manager to lead and evolve change and configuration management practices across our global Cloud Services organization. This role is responsible for ensuring the integrity, stability, and compliance of our cloud environments by governing the end-to-end change lifecycle and maintaining accurate configuration baselines. The position plays a critical role in minimizing operational risk, enabling secure service transitions from engineering to operations, and ensuring adherence to commercial and public sector regulatory requirements.
What you'll get to do
- Change Management Leadership
- Own and manage the full lifecycle of cloud changes using ITIL-based best practices.
- Facilitate and lead Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings and governance processes.
- Review and approve change records for completeness, accuracy, and risk mitigation.
- Partner with Incident and Problem Management teams to ensure changes impacting customers are prioritized and mitigated.
- Ensure seamless transition of changes from development to operations.
- Develop meaningful KPIs, dashboards, and reporting to drive transparency and continuous improvement.
- Configuration Management Governance
- Lead configuration identification, control, status accounting, and audits aligned to formal Configuration Management plans.
- Maintain and govern configuration baselines for software, hardware, and cloud infrastructure.
- Maintain accuracy of the Configuration Management Database (CMDB).
- Perform technical baseline impact assessments and present findings at control board meetings.
- Enforce CM processes across engineering and development teams, ensuring compliance with defined workflows and contractual requirements.
- Collaborate with Cloud, Cybersecurity, Development, and Operations teams to integrate CM practices across the service lifecycle.
- Compliance & Regulatory Alignment
- Ensure change and configuration practices support commercial and public sector regulatory frameworks.
- Support environments subject to FedRAMP and Government of Canada regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to audit readiness and continuous monitoring programs.
- Establish governance controls to reduce operational and security risk.
- Culture & Enablement
- Build strong stakeholder relationships to assess readiness and enable successful change adoption.
- Train, mentor, and educate teams on change and configuration management principles.
- Drive continuous process improvement initiatives.
Skills and experience we value
- 5+ years of experience in Change and/or Configuration Management.
- Deep expertise in ITIL-based change management practices, controls, audit, and reporting.
- Experience managing CMDB platforms and configuration governance (e.g., ServiceNow, ITOM, CSDM, Azure environments).
- Strong understanding of public and private cloud infrastructure.
- Demonstrated success leading cross-functional enterprise initiatives.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
What would make you really stand out
- ITIL certification.
- AWS, Azure, or GCP certifications a plus
- Experience supporting regulated environments such as FedRAMP or Government of Canada.
