Responsibilities The Coder-CPA is responsible for applying and ensuring the accuracy of Lab and Pathology ICD-10 and CPT codes, resulting from documentation provided by CPA providers in a timely manner. Ability to enter codes into medical systems. Review and resolve coding issues that billing staff have from denied claims. Ability to work with all departments of CPA Lab regarding coding questions including our CPA physicians. Understanding of yearly coding changes made by CMS and able to communicate & implement the change. • This position offers a fully remote work opportunity. Employees in this role must reside in one of the following states to be considered for fully remote positions: Kentucky, Indiana, Missouri, Ohio, Tennessee, Alabama, Virginia, Mississippi, North Carolina, or South Carolina. ** Qualifications Required: • One year coding in healthcare setting • One of: CCA or CCS or CPC Desired • One year coding in pathology and laboratory • Diploma • Certified Coding Associate OR Certified Coding Specialist OR Certified Professional Coder Apply tot his job
