Role Description
The Collateral Underwriter is responsible for the assessment of all subject collateral originated through the retail platform for conventional loans.
- Analyze, evaluate, and decision appraisal reports in accordance with all agency and investor guidelines and standards.
- Complete comprehensive collateral reviews in a timely manner to meet service level expectations.
- Maintain a pipeline and communicate issues to Appraisers, Processor, and Originators.
- Remain informed and current on all agency and investor guidelines and updates.
- Maintain a high level of customer service.
- Collaborate with the Post Closing Department on any stipulations for closed files.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 3 years’ mortgage underwriting experience.
- Experience in collateral underwriting, preferred.
- Working knowledge of all agency and investor underwriting policies.
- Excellent prioritization and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Advanced analytical skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Requirements
- Hourly Rate: $33.65-$38.46.
- The posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.
