We are currently conducting a property reassessment project for Perry County and are seeking highly skilled and detail-oriented Data Entry Clerks to join our team. As a Data Entry Clerk, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our property data and photo entry process.
About the Role
We are looking for a computer-savvy individual with a keen eye for detail to join our team as a Data Entry Clerk. The successful candidate will be responsible for entering and quality checking property data and photos. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a high-profile project, develop your skills, and contribute to the success of our organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Entry and Quality Checking: Enter and quality check property data and photos with high accuracy and efficiency.
- Field Card and Report Preparation: Print and prepare field cards and reports for field data collectors.
- Fieldwork Tracking: Track fieldwork sign-out/sign-in and maintain organized records.
- Data Compilation and Sorting: Prepare data for computer entry by compiling and sorting information.
- Information Inputting: Input information from field data property cards in a timely manner.
- Data Verification: Compare data against field and aerial photos to ensure accuracy.
- System Maintenance: Maintain operations by following policies and procedures.
- Confidentiality: Maintain County and taxpayer confidence by keeping information confidential.
- Additional Tasks: Contribute to team effort by accomplishing additional tasks as needed.
- Customer Service: Answer phones for the reassessment office and maintain a friendly, professional demeanor with County and taxpayers.
- Project Management: Assist with various projects under the guidance of the project manager.
Requirements and Qualifications
Essential Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
- Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic computer skills.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Data Entry Experience: Previous experience in data entry or a related field.
- Government Experience: Experience working in a government or related environment.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications or training in data entry, computer applications, or a related field.

Work Environment and Culture:
- Work Location: This position offers both remote and office work opportunities. The office is located in New Bloomfield, PA.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 - 5:00.
- Training: Paid training will be provided onsite at our office.
