Summary
PAZ Analytics is seeking a Digital Marketing Analyst who can operate confidently across the entire data lifecycle, from instrumentation and data engineering to analysis and insight development. In this role, you will design and implement scalable tracking systems, build and maintain data models and pipelines, and transform complex multi-channel datasets into clear and actionable business intelligence. You will collaborate closely with technical and non-technical teams to ensure that every stage of the data process is accurate, strategic, and aligned with client performance goals.

Key Responsibilities
Data Collection, Instrumentation & Implementation
- Architect and implement end-to-end tracking systems using Google Tag Manager (client-side and server-side), Google Analytics 4, and other measurement tools.
- Develop detailed tracking specifications, data layers, and schema designs that ensure clean and consistent data collection.
- Implement and QA custom event tracking, enhanced conversions, and cross-domain measurement.
- Manage and validate deployment of marketing pixels (Meta, TikTok, Google Ads, LinkedIn, etc.) to support attribution and campaign optimization.
Analysis, Insights & Reporting
- Analyze website behavior (funnels, user journeys, engagement, conversion paths) to identify optimization opportunities.
- Evaluate marketing channel performance across paid, organic, and owned channels using web analytics and platform data.
- Conduct funnel analysis, cohort analysis, and attribution assessments to understand drivers of performance.
- Partner with marketing and client teams to translate data into clear recommendations for CRO, media optimization, and user experience improvements.
- Build dashboards and reporting that highlight site performance, user behavior, and campaign effectiveness.
Data Engineering & Modeling (Bonus)
- Build and maintain ETL/ELT data pipelines leveraging tools like Fivetran and BigQuery.
- Perform data cleaning, transformation, and modeling in SQL/dbt to produce reliable datasets for reporting and analysis.
- Design and maintain marketing and analytics data models, including channel performance tables, user behavior models, attribution logic, and forecasting inputs.
- Conduct routine data quality checks and implement validation processes to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency across sources.
Skills
Core Technical Skills
- Deep expertise in Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager (web + server-side).
- Strong experience (3-5 years) with web analytics implementation, debugging, and QA workflows.
- Proficiency in data layer design, event schema development, and tracking architecture.
- Experience analyzing website behavior, funnels, and marketing performance data.
- Strong SQL skills for querying and validating datasets.
Advanced Technical Skills (Bonus)
- Experience with analytics engineering tools (dbt, semantic layers).
- Familiarity with data warehousing (BigQuery, Snowflake) and ELT tools (Fivetran, Airbyte).
- Experience with Python or JavaScript for tagging, automation, or API integrations.
- Exposure to attribution modeling, incrementality testing, or forecasting.
Soft Skills
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities, particularly in diagnosing and resolving analytics challenges.
- Skilled in project management, with the ability to handle multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and deliver high-quality work.
