Priori is seeking a highly effective and motivated Director of Finance and Accounting with passion and a proven track record for success in financial processes, operational transformation, and accounting excellence in the context of a double-digit ARR startup. We are seeking a leader who delivers results and who will be a key driver in helping us scale the impact of our finance department. This role requires strong business acumen and understanding of staffing, legal, or marketplace dynamics, as well as the ability to apply that business knowledge and know-how into the systems, process, and reporting solutions that are proposed and delivered. In this role, expectations are high with regards to possessing outstanding communication and collaboration skills across multiple departments. This role will focus on optimizing our accounting and reporting cadence, will own the budget and partner with sales to measure our progress against revenue targets, and will report to the CEO. You will: Manage monthly close process (currently ~75% outsourced) Lead the accounting function to execute all accounting processes and activities across the organization to ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP accounting and internal policies. Ownership of day-to-day accounting and month-end close activities in the context of a marketplace company including board reporting, GMV analysis, invoicing and collections. Collaborate with HR, Sales, and Operations teams to ensure timely two-sided marketplace invoicing, collection, and payouts; sales team commissions structure and payouts; and management of vendor expenses, and revenue recognition. Coordinate with external stakeholders and auditors to support their quarterly review and annual audit procedures Partner with other cross-functional teams to develop, support, and improve the systems, policies, and procedures necessary to drive efficiency and provide meaningful financial data Own budget / variance reporting for board meetings and management reporting You have: Bachelors degree in Accounting or other related field required 2-4 years of Public Accounting Experience and CPA 6-8 years of total experience with emphasis in SaaS, Marketplaces, or Staffing spaces Solid technical knowledge of GAAP accounting and reporting requirements Proven experience in optimizing accounting & finance processes, as well as experience with scaling and automation of processes Exceptional ownership of responsibilities in a fast paced environment Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills Ability to work in a dynamic department, successfully juggling multiple projects and deliverables Apply Job!
