Position Summary
The Journeyman – Electrical – National/Industrial is responsible for performing journeyman-level electrical duties including the installation, maintenance, and repair of wiring, electrical distribution systems, and related equipment. Work includes both rough-in and finished installations on motors, relays, controls, pumps, fans, heaters, lighting, and other industrial equipment. In addition to technical expertise, this position provides leadership by supervising and mentoring apprentices and helpers, ensuring work is performed safely, on schedule, and to quality standards.
Primary Responsibilities and Duties
- Supervise and mentor apprentices and helpers, monitoring progress and enforcing safety practices.
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical distribution systems on industrial projects.
- Perform wire terminations and conduit installations, including measuring, cutting, threading, and assembling.
- Pull wire through conduit, install junction boxes, panels, and related devices.
- Troubleshoot and test electrical circuits and equipment to identify and resolve issues.
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications to complete tasks accurately.
- Collaborate with project managers, foremen, and other trades to maintain schedules.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in safe and organized condition.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

- Ability to lead small crews of up to five workers.

Physical Demands
- Prolonged standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work at heights on ladders, lifts, or scaffolding.
- Exposure to varying outdoor conditions on job sites.
