Civiltec Engineering is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Engineering Observer/Technician to support our electrical engineering team from design phase to construction phase of projects. This role plays a critical part in ensuring quality, compliance, and successful project execution by serving as a key liaison between engineering, project management, and field operations.
Responsibilities
- Participate in construction meetings and collaborate closely with project managers and contractors
- Review and provide feedback on contractor submittals for electrical equipment and instrumentation
- Evaluate and respond to contractor Requests for Information (RFIs)
- Conduct site visits and observations to verify compliance with plans and specifications
- Develop and manage final project punch lists
- Perform constructability reviews and quality assurance (QA) checks on project plans and specifications
Skills
- 1–3 years of experience with electrical installations and equipment in industrial or commercial environments
- Working knowledge of construction processes, electrical systems, and field coordination
- Strong attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Journeyman Electrician Certification (highly preferred)
