Together, we can create a legacy marked by innovation, excitement, and energy. Ketjen is hiring for a Enterprise Data Architect. This position is hybrid located in Clear Lake, TX. Role Summary The Enterprise Data Architect owns Ketjen’s enterprise-scale data architecture across the Azure ecosystem. The role ensures that foundational data structures, enterprise models, metadata standards, and integration patterns are consistent, secure, and interoperable across all business domains. This position focuses on Azure data architecture, including storage, compute, networking, security boundaries, data governance structures, and patterns required to support scalable analytics, AI, workflows, and operational systems. Key Responsibilities Own the enterprise-wide data architecture blueprint across Azure including storage layers, compute patterns, resource hierarchies, networking connectivity, and identity/security models. Define, standardize, and enforce enterprise data modeling principles, naming conventions, and certified data contract rules. Provide architectural patterns for ingestion, transformation, and integration across ERP, CRM, HRIS, OT/MES, SaaS platforms, and partner systems. Maintain the enterprise data glossary, lineage structures, stewardship framework, and metadata governance. Ensure consistency and semantic alignment across Finance, SCM, Operations, EHS, Commercial, and other business domains. Oversee data quality, information security compliance, and regulatory data handling requirements. Provide architectural guidance to Data Engineers, Solution Engineers, and domain teams to ensure curated datasets align with enterprise modeling and governance requirements. Contribute to future-state architecture roadmaps for data modernization, Azure platform evolution, and enterprise data governance maturity. Required Qualifications 7+ years experience in enterprise data architecture, large-scale data platforms, or Azure cloud architecture. Strong expertise in Azure data services (e.g., ADLS, Synapse, Fabric, Azure SQL, networking, security, storage governance, RBAC). Proven ability to design and maintain cross-domain enterprise semantic models. Experience with data warehousing, dimensional modeling, or contract-driven data architecture. Strong understanding of ERP, CRM, operational, and OT data structures. Ability to develop standards for metadata, lineage, governance, and certification. Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and business teams. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Azure Purview / Microsoft Fabric governance tooling. Background in manufacturing, chemicals, or industrial operations. Familiarity with AI/ML data preparation patterns. Knowledge of cloud-based data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake).
