They are seeking an Entry Level Geotechnical Engineer to support a diverse portfolio of civil infrastructure projects, working on tasks from concept through construction and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities
- Participating in field assignments soil and rock borings, CPT soundings, geophysical testing, instrumentation installation, and construction inspections
- Analyzing field logs and lab data to support geotechnical design decisions
- Designing shallow and deep foundations, earth retaining structures, ground improvement, embankments, cut slopes, and more
- Preparation of technical reports, design drawings, and specifications
- Familiarity with computer programs for geotechnical analyses (e.g., SLIDE, LPILE, APILE, Shaft, GRLWEAP, Mathcad)
Skills
- BS in Civil or Geological Engineering
- Strong academic foundation in soil mechanics and geotechnical design principles
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- 0-2 years of geotechnical engineering experience
- Participating in field assignments soil and rock borings, CPT soundings, geophysical testing, instrumentation installation, and construction inspections
- Analyzing field logs and lab data to support geotechnical design decisions
- Designing shallow and deep foundations, earth retaining structures, ground improvement, embankments, cut slopes, and more
- Preparation of technical reports, design drawings, and specifications
- Familiarity with computer programs for geotechnical analyses (e.g., SLIDE, LPILE, APILE, Shaft, GRLWEAP, Mathcad)
- MS or PhD with concentration in Geotechnical Engineering
- Ability and willingness to visit and safely navigate construction and project sites and comply with all applicable safety codes and requirements
- Authorization to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship, now or in the future
