Job Title: Evidence Documentation Support Reports to: Senior Legal Assistant Status: Part Time Position Purpose: This position is for a virtual assistant who can take on a variety of administrative roles in compiling various documents together into one single PDF document and creating an accompanying table of contents. This position may also include additional virtual administrative assistant tasks, as needed.   Primary Responsibilities: - You will receive a list of evidence from the assigned team on the case that is needed for an immigration case. You will create a list of the evidence in the Spanish language and send it to the client via text message and email (you will first confirm the phone number for the client is correct). - You will then follow up with the client until we receive the evidence back from the client. - You will then compile the evidence into different sections, including, but not limited to, the following: biographic information, proof of residence in the United States, proof of payment of taxes, etc. (The categories will be provided to you for each case). - You will then create an insert to go between each document. - You will then put all documents together and paginate the documents. - You will then create a table of contents including each piece of evidence we have received and the page number, separated by categories.   Application Details: You must put “Starfish TOC Member” in the subject line of your application, explain your interest for the role, and explain why you are the best candidate for the role.  Please note that a failure to follow that instruction will result in not being considered for this position.   Requirements Basic Job Requirements: - You are a fluent English speaker and can speak conversational Spanish. Preference is given to applicants who are fluent in both Spanish and English. - You are organized, detail-oriented and able to prioritize. - Proficient in Microsoft products, SharePoint, Google Docs and Adobe Acrobat. - You are positive, welcoming, and have a professional demeanor. - You care about the rights of immigrants in the United States. - You can follow directions and work within operational systems by following the training guidelines. - You have a reliable internet connection. - You are available Monday – Friday between the hours of 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM. EST.  We also have availability, on occasion, on weekends. Preferred: - Previous experience as a paralegal - Fluency in Spanish and English - Expertise in Microsoft Word and Adobe - Prior experience researching topics - Familiarity with Docketwise Case Management
