Key Responsibilities
- Coordinating and executing age-appropriate routines, including homework, reading, and outdoor play
- Transporting children to and from school, after-school activities, and other appointments as needed
- Preparing healthy meals and snacks, and encouraging good eating habits
- Assisting with online learning, homework, and projects, and providing support and guidance when needed
- Maintaining a safe and clean environment, including light housekeeping and laundry duties
- Establishing and maintaining bedtime and morning routines, and ensuring children get enough rest and exercise
- Following COVID safety measures and practicing social distancing when appropriate
- Building strong, positive relationships with our children, and providing emotional support and guidance when needed
Requirements
To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have a valid phone number and be available for regular communication
- Be able to pass a regular background check
- Have a legitimate Social Security Number
- Be pleasant, authentic, and hardworking, with a genuine passion for working with children
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable:
- Previous experience working as a babysitter or in a related field, such as teaching or childcare
- A degree in early childhood education, childcare, or a related field
- CPR and first aid certification
- Ability to speak multiple languages, or experience working with children from diverse cultural backgrounds
- Knowledge of child development principles, and experience creating engaging and educational activities for children
