About the Role
This is a contract-to-hire position, with a duration of 11 months or more, and the possibility of transitioning to a permanent role. You will work remotely, but you will be required to attend an orientation session and collect equipment on the first day of the job.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle inbound telephone calls in a fast-paced environment, providing professional and courteous service to customers.
- Resolve Tier 1 level issues related to tax compliance, delinquency, and general information requests.
- Review taxpayer accounts, verify, gather, and update key information, and educate taxpayers on online resources and current tax policies.
- Submit requests for payment arrangements and participate in team engagement activities.
- Meet performance expectations and maintain a high level of productivity and quality.
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of experience in a call center environment, preferably in industries such as finance, banking, insurance, or telecommunications.
- Strong ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google applications.
- Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
- A bias for serving others and a positive attitude.
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications are highly preferred:
