About the Role

Rightway is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Controller to lead the accounting function through the company's next phase of maturation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting within the PBM and/or Healthcare industry, excellent communication skills, and a keen eye for detail. As a Controller, you will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating all accounting operational functions, managing the accumulation and consolidation of financial data, overseeing regulatory reporting, and leading a high-performing accounting team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, direct, and coordinate all accounting operational functions to ensure efficient and accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare internal and external financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and statements of cash flows.
• Hire, train, and retain a skilled and motivated accounting team to drive team success.
• Drive timely month-end close and associated analysis to support business decision-making.
• Manage the year-end audit process and implement recommendations to improve financial reporting and compliance.
• Partner cross-functionally to implement best accounting practices and ensure compliance with financial guidelines and regulations.
• Collaborate with the finance team to establish, monitor, and enforce internal financial controls.
• Assist with finance and risk analysis, reviewing and analyzing financial statements and reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Track KPIs and financial guarantees, helping to prepare financial reports and forecasts.
• Ensure compliance with financial guidelines, company policies, and relevant legal regulations.

Who You Are

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a strong accounting background, excellent leadership skills, and a keen eye for detail. The ideal candidate will have:

Essential Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 15+ years of experience in accounting, financial planning, analysis, and modeling.
• Experience in managing large accounting teams, with a focus on training and retaining top talent.
• Ability to present financial information to a non-financial audience.
• Proficiency in GSuite, Office, and accounting and ERP tools (Netsuite, Bill.com, Salesforce, etc.).
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Detail-oriented and able to perform in a high-pressure environment.
• A can-do attitude with a strong desire to implement and continuously improve processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

• CPA certification.
• Big 4 experience.
• Experience working in both public and private companies.
• Background in pharmacy benefit management, health insurance, or managed healthcare.

What We Offer
