Primary Responsibilities
- Manage data sources to monitor the field execution of vendor programs and assortments, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
- Communicate complex and detailed information to multiple individuals and audiences with varying knowledge levels, both internally and externally.
- Stay informed of analytic best practices across the industry, providing effective information to deliver sales, margin, and market development goals.
- Analyze and report data to identify issues, trends, or exceptions, driving improvement of results and finding solutions to complex problems.
- Track category performance, including sales, profits, margins, and market share, to inform strategic decisions and optimize outcomes.
- Develop, communicate, execute, and monitor specific performance metrics and goals relevant to each business as part of regular, scheduled business reviews.
- Create and deliver effective reports using POS data, Syndicated Data, and account-specific database information in presentation-ready formats, ensuring clarity and insights for stakeholders.
- Evaluate and make recommendations on supplier performance to enhance the company's inventory and fill rate objectives, driving efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Understand and apply customer, consumer, and industry insights using market research data to deliver category growth and stay ahead of the competition.
- Ensure superior client satisfaction by providing hands-on deep analytics and contributing to team problem-solving, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
- Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and perform other job-related duties as assigned, demonstrating adaptability and a growth mindset.
Minimum Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you should possess:
- A Bachelor's Degree and experience within the CPG sector, with Adult Beverage experience being highly preferred; Costco experience is a significant value add.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and quantitative analysis skills, with the ability to incorporate and interpret data from multiple unrelated data sources into concise, action-oriented recommendations.
- Understanding of National Chain Sales, Retail, and Distributor operations, with expertise in category management principles, syndicated data, and shopper/consumer insights (Numerator/Spectra, etc.).
- Ability to collaborate with external retail customers, key suppliers, and internal teams to deliver insights and recommendations, demonstrating assertive leadership and decision-making skills.
- Preferred experience working with Syndicated data (Nielsen, IRI), Internal Shipment Data, and Household Panel, with intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
- A proven track record of success, with strong leadership, decision-making capability, and an aptitude for understanding changing market dynamics and resolving complex problems.
