Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Customer Service Associate to provide exceptional patient and customer service, register sales, and maintain a clean and organized store environment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating a positive and welcoming experience for our customers, while also ensuring that our store is well-stocked, clean, and compliant with all regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional patient and customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Register sales on assigned sales register, collect cash and distribute change as needed; process voids, returns, delays, discounts, and exchanges as required.
- Keep counters and retail areas clean and well-organized, take stock, and maintain accurate records.
- Carry out organizational resource protection methods to identify and minimize loss.
- Ensure compliance with state and local regulations regarding controlled items (e.g., tobacco and tobacco products).
- Develop and maintain displays, including seasonal, promotional, and special displays, and complete resets and updates as assigned.
- Assist with the separation of food items (e.g., raw foods from pre-cooked) and product placement as determined by procedures/systems (e.g., raw and frozen meats on bottom shelves).
- Have working knowledge of store systems and store equipment.
- Provide customer assistance in the photo area, including digital ID photo service, banner print, and imaginative machine, and sell of special photo items.
- Take on web pick-up responsibilities (screens orders in Picture Care, handles orders (pick items), and delivers orders to customers as they arrive at the store).
- Assist with external and internal support by ensuring a perfect, clean, and deliberate store condition and appearance.
- Conform to all organizational policies and procedures; maintain respectful relationships with colleagues.
- Complete special tasks and other assignments as assigned.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications:
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekend hours.
- Basic knowledge of store systems and store equipment.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
Preferred Qualifications
- At least six months of experience in a retail environment.
- Previous work experience with Walgreens.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic knowledge of store operations and procedures.
