In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to walk-in customers, answering phone calls, maintaining and updating our Lost and Found system, and ensuring the secure and efficient handling of lost items. If you possess excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service, we encourage you to apply. **Responsibilities** As a Customer Service Representative in our Lost and Found Department, your key responsibilities will include: * **Assist walk-in customers**: Provide exceptional service to passengers who have lost items, answering their queries and resolving their issues in a timely and professional manner. * **Answer phone calls**: Respond to phone inquiries from passengers, airlines, and airport staff, providing accurate information and assistance as needed. * **Maintain and update the Lost and Found system**: Ensure the accuracy and completeness of our Lost and Found database, updating information as necessary to facilitate efficient item recovery. * **Research and verify validity of all information before release**: Verify the ownership and authenticity of lost items before releasing them to passengers, ensuring the integrity of our system and protecting the interests of our customers. * **Collect lost items from Remote Parking, TSA, Car Rental, Terminals, and various other areas of the airport grounds**: Retrieve lost items from designated areas, ensuring their safe and secure transportation to our Lost and Found facility. * **Photograph and log items**: Document lost items using our standardized procedures, ensuring accurate and detailed records for future reference. * **Receive, count, document, and secure items in a lockable container such as a safe**: Safely store and manage lost items, maintaining accurate records and ensuring their secure storage. * **Movement of goods and materials**: Assist in the transportation and handling of lost items, ensuring their safe and efficient movement within the airport. **Requirements** To succeed in this role, you will need to possess: * **Organizational skills**: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and maintain accurate records. * **Self-driven focus on customer and client satisfaction**: Strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service, ensuring passenger satisfaction, and building trust with our customers. * **Ability to excel under pressure of meeting extreme deadlines**: Capacity to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines and delivering results under pressure. * **Effective verbal and written communication skills**: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with passengers, airlines, and airport staff. * **Problem-solving skills and ability to make quick decisions**: Ability to analyze situations, identify solutions, and make informed decisions in a timely manner. * **Proficiency in computer software (Word & Excel)**: Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel, to maintain accurate records and perform administrative tasks. * **Ability to work varied hours**: Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends, holidays, and peak travel periods. * **Availability on weekends and holidays**: Willingness to work on weekends and holidays, ensuring our Lost and Found Department is available to assist passengers 24/7. * **Detail-oriented and well organized**: Strong attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate records and ensure the efficient handling of lost items. * **Occasional lifting of up to 70lbs**: Ability to lift and move items, as required, to ensure their safe and secure storage. * **Ability to stand and walk for long periods**: Capacity to stand and walk for extended periods, ensuring the efficient handling of lost items and providing exceptional customer service. **Nice-to-haves** While not essential, the following skills and qualifications would be beneficial in this role: * Previous experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in a fast-paced environment. * Familiarity with airport operations and procedures. * Knowledge of lost and found systems and procedures. * Ability to speak multiple languages. **Benefits** As a valued member of our team, you will enjoy a range of benefits, including: * Competitive hourly rate of $16. * Opportunities for career growth and professional development. * Collaborative and inclusive work environment. * Recognition and rewards for outstanding performance. * Comprehensive training and support to ensure your success in the role. **How to Apply** If you are a motivated and customer-focused individual with a passion for delivering exceptional service, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
