Your primary responsibilities will include: * Greeting and registering patients by obtaining demographics, financial information, insurance information, and necessary signatures on required forms and documents for physician office visits. * Coordinating patient appointments for all physicians in the practice office. * Scheduling diagnostic tests as ordered and scheduling follow-up appointments. * Providing excellent customer service to patients, families, and colleagues. * Assisting patients with check-in and check-out processes and preparing medical records for physician visits. * Directing telephone calls and messages to appropriate persons and providing customer service as needed. * Initiating scheduling processes for diagnostic tests and referrals. * Verifying financial information and insurance coverages. * Verifying scheduled appointments and following up on missed appointments per protocol. **Qualifications** To be successful in this role, you'll need to possess the following qualifications: * High School Diploma/GED Equivalent Required * Customer service, reception, filling, or billing experience in a physician's office or hospital * 2+ years of experience in a healthcare setting preferred * Certification as a Physician Office Business Administrator is desirable * Ability to apply medical terminology as it relates to patient visits and future appointments * Good computer skills and the ability to operate basic office equipment * Demonstrated good analytical skills * Demonstrated positive attitude, professional courtesy, and compassionate customer service to patients * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to diffuse a stressful situation tactfully and professionally, and the ability to make good decisions in a stressful situation * Ability to work independently and in a team environment, and to multi-task **Skills and Competencies** To excel in this role, you'll need to possess the following skills and competencies: * Strong communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work in a fast-paced medical office environment * Excellent customer service skills * Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills * Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information * Strong computer skills and ability to learn new software applications **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** At arenaflex, we're committed to helping our employees grow and develop their careers.
