Job Overview
We're seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Customer Service Representative to join our team. Key Responsibilities
- Address and resolve customer service calls empathetically and professionally, providing accurate and personalized help and guidance to our members and providers.
- Document, research, and resolve all inquiries, ensuring that documentation is clear and complete, and that issues are resolved on the first call whenever possible.
- Respond to calls from our members, answering questions and resolving issues regarding health care eligibility, claims, and payments, and providing support and guidance as needed.
- Review, research, and process healthcare claims, ensuring that every claim receives a fair and thorough review, and that our members receive the benefits they're entitled to.
- Collaborate with care providers, field Care Team staff, and other stakeholders to resolve complex issues and ensure that our members receive the best possible care.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of claims policies, regulatory requirements, and guidelines, and utilize all available resources to handle inquiries and resolve issues.
- Meet or exceed individual and departmental quality standards, achieving performance goals and contributing to the success of our team.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- A High School Diploma or GED, or 10+ years of equivalent working experience.
- 2+ years of customer service experience, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional service and resolving complex issues.
- The ability to type a minimum of 40 words per minute, and to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00am - 8:00pm CST, with the ability to work occasional overtime as needed.
- The ability to successfully complete our Customer Service training classes, and to demonstrate proficiency in the material.
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:
- 1+ years of prior experience in an automatic call distribution call center setting.
- Knowledge of CPT/ICD10 coding, and Medicare/Medicaid guidelines.

To be eligible for this role, you'll need to meet the following telecommuting requirements:
- The ability to keep all company-sensitive documents secure, and to maintain the confidentiality of our members' personal and medical information.

- A reliable high-speed internet connection, and the ability to leverage an existing high-speed internet service if needed.
