Key Responsibilities

• Respond to customer inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner

• Utilize customer support limit systems to make financial decisions to resolve customer issues
• Explain customer limitations as per contract and provide relevant information to address unasked questions
• Process claim referrals, new case handoffs, nurse reviews, complaints, and requests via target system
• Collaborate with suppliers to resolve issues and provide education on self-service options
• Handle incoming requests for orders and pre-approvals not handled by Clinical Case Management
• Perform review of customer claim history to ensure accurate tracking of benefit maximums and coinsurance/deductible
• Utilize relevant system tools and resources to create quality letters and spreadsheets in response to customer requests

Essential Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Customer service experience in a transaction-based environment, such as a call center or retail store
• Ability to perform multiple tasks efficiently and effectively
• Understanding of medical terminology
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Outlook
• Ability to maintain accuracy and production standards
