Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service to arenaflex enthusiasts, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
- Work collaboratively with other teams, including production control room staff, remote production teams, and external vendors
- Demonstrate proficient skills in the use of all broadcast equipment and technology, including server-based recording and playback systems, non-linear editing systems, and encoding systems
- Validate video and audio quality during live and recorded programming, setting up standards for incoming feeds, and clipping/editing content for production and programming
- Exhibit a fundamental understanding of editing techniques on non-linear systems and measure audio and video signals to ensure quality control
- Participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge, and may participate in training others in functional areas
- Collaborate with technology teams to improve existing applications and provide decisive thinking to everyday operations
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- At least 2 years of practical TV production experience at the large market or network level
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including late shifts, weekends, and holidays
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
- High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications are preferred:
- Active background in a live production environment, internship, or similar educational experience
- Knowledge of server-based recording/playback and non-linear editing systems, such as Quantel
- Understanding of format changes, EVS, transcoding systems, and file formats
