Job Responsibilities
As a Data Analyst at arenaflex, you will be responsible for analyzing complex data sets, developing impactful visualizations, and providing actionable insights to stakeholders. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Working with large, messy, disparate datasets to conduct ad-hoc analyses and inform critical business decisions
- Creating ETLs or processes that pull data from multiple locations and centralize it in a single table
- Developing data visualizations to display and quantify the impact of changes and specific business challenges
- Engaging with team members and cross-functional groups on a periodic basis to establish credibility and analyze stakeholder needs
- Leveraging scripting languages (Python preferred) to automate tasks related to reporting, such as screenshots, metrics prioritization, and outlier detection
- Documenting processes and sharing expertise with colleagues, as well as mentoring peers as you become a Subject Matter Expert
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Excellent SQL skills, with the ability to manipulate data from multiple tables while maintaining data integrity (2-4 years of experience)
- Creativity with a User Experience basis to develop impactful Tableau Dashboards (1-2 years of experience)
- Business Operations Fluency, with the ability to understand and root cause business problems, and a Supply Chain background, ideally with transportation experience
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally
- A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Computer Science, Statistics, or Business Administration
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:
- Advanced experience with SQL and Tableau
- Experience with e-commerce operations or parcel service operations
- Experience with Python or other scripting languages
- Experience with data manipulation tools, including Knime, Alteryx, R, Tableau Prep, etc.
