Key Responsibilities
As a Data Engineer at blithequark, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Gathering data requirements, creating source-to-target mappings, and developing data validation scripts
- Designing, implementing, and monitoring ETL/ELT data pipelines using SQL, Python, and other technologies
- Creating and maintaining database schema, tables, and views, as well as developing datasets to support science models and representations
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, product managers, and engineers, to ensure seamless data integration and flow
- Utilizing technologies such as Snowflake, PostgreSQL, Python, Docker, Gitlab, and Windstream to support data engineering activities
- Developing and maintaining automated workflow schedulers and ensuring data quality, integrity, and security
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field
- At least 2 years of experience in ELT/ETL data pipeline development and maintenance
- Proven expertise in using Python and SQL, preferably with Snowflake
- Experience working in a multi-environment setup (Dev, QA, Prod, etc.) and familiarity with DEVOP practices for code management and development
- Strong understanding of social database design and functionality
Preferred Qualifications
