About the Job
We are seeking a hard worker and imaginative events manager who can lead the development and delivery of elite events from in-person to virtual and everything in between in India for external and internal audiences. The successful candidate will have the ability to blend strategic thinking with execution at scale, and will not be afraid to think outside the box and offer groundbreaking ideas that are both useful and innovative. You will be responsible for investigating the latest tools and technologies to elevate our events into novel experiences that are unique to arenaflex.
Key Responsibilities
- Conceptualize, create, and deliver innovative event proposals and pitches
- Collaborate with key stakeholders across various disciplines to align on event strategies and stories
- Demonstrate creative problem-solving skills and think strategically
- Proactively gather feedback and perspectives from cross-functional partners, including title and market marketing experts, Photo and AV Studio, Article and Publishing, to deliver effective event campaign strategies
- Produce innovative and high-quality experiences that are consumer-driven and unique to arenaflex
- Manage external vendors and agencies, and oversee event-related requirements, including venue acquisition, entertainment, and logistics
- Provide the team with key direction on event planning, budgeting, and timelines, and ensure that all events are delivered on time and within budget
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- At least 4 years of events experience, ideally from the media and entertainment industry, including experience in making, executing, planning, and staffing events at a company, studio, agency, or with a brand
- A self-starter who can work independently, and under pressure, while consistently exercising smart judgment, even when faced with ambiguity
- Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to focus on multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and concepts in a clear and concise manner
- Experience working in the Asia-Pacific region is an asset
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications are preferred:
- Experience in film or TV awards campaigns
- Knowledge of the latest tools, platforms, and technologies used in event planning and management
- Experience working with cross-functional teams, including marketing, communications, and sales
- Ability to speak multiple languages, including local languages in the Asia-Pacific region
