**Job Summary**
We're seeking an experienced Data Entry Specialist to join our team in West Des Moines, IA. As a Data Entry Specialist, you'll play a critical role in reviewing, interpreting, and processing enrollments, terminations, and eligibility change requests in a timely and accurate manner. You'll work in a hybrid capacity, with 2 days in the office and 3 days from home, and will be eligible to work from home after completing a training period.
**Responsibilities**
As a Data Entry Specialist, your key responsibilities will include:
* Reviewing, interpreting, entering, processing, and/or auditing enrollments, terminations, and eligibility change requests in a timely and accurate manner utilizing arenaflex systems.
* Reviewing and resolving eligibility error and audit reports.
* Working with the support team to resolve electronic eligibility issues.
* Requesting ID Cards and distributing as required.
* Processing requests for proof of coverage.
* Auditing Dependent Eligibility, when required.
* Maintaining assigned eligibility Work Queues according to arenaflex procedure and turnaround time expectations.
* Responding to telephone, email, electronic inquiries, or faxes from clients/brokers, employees/members, and co-workers regarding eligibility and ID Card-related issues.
* Working with the support team to appropriately refer or escalate calls based on customer service procedures and guidelines.
* Researching inquiries and following up regularly on outstanding issues to ensure timely resolution and client satisfaction.
* Thoroughly and accurately documenting all inquiries following arenaflex guidelines.
* Other duties as needed/assigned.
**Qualifications**
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
* A High School diploma or GED equivalent.
* 1-2 years of Eligibility, medical benefits, or data entry experience.
* Prior customer service experience working in a call center or in a position that entailed handling calls is a plus.
* The ability to work in a fast-paced, customer service and production-driven environment.
* Exceptional data entry skills with high attention to detail.
* Effective verbal and written communication skills.
* The ability to work effectively with team members, employees/members, providers, and clients.
* The ability to use common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in oral, written, or diagram form.
* Flexibility; open to continued process improvement with the ability to prioritize and adapt to business needs.
* The ability to learn new/proprietary systems, adapt to various system platforms, and effectively use MS Excel/Word.
