Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrate a broad understanding of enterprise data storage conditions
- Implement and maintain enterprise backup and data security technologies
- Efficiently manage and monitor reporting platforms and software
- Define and implement trend storage design techniques, based on industry standards and best practices
- Interface and communicate with application, database, server, and other technology teams on architecture, and configuration selection, to ensure suitable storage technology and design
- Show strong organizational skills to adapt and prioritize tasks in a continually changing environment
- Contribute clear and concise documentation for both routine and irregular tasks
- Provide technical support and guidance on complex activities like installation, configuration, and backup/restore operations for all systems
- Perform code updates and security patching to maintain the integrity of storage systems
Requirements and Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates must have:
- 3 years' experience in data storage or a related field with emphasis on networking and storage protocols
- Industry knowledge and experience in large-scale SAN design and implementation
- Proven expertise in enterprise storage administration, with expertise in DellEMC, Cisco, and similar OEMs
- A strong grasp of current and emerging data protection technologies
- Experience with NAS concepts and protocols (CIFS, NFS, and S3)
- Knowledge of data synchronization technologies for both SAN and NAS
- Operating system administration skills (both Linux and Windows)
- VMWare concepts and administration
