Job Summary
We're seeking a Food Retail Host/Hostess to join our team at Aulani, A Disney Resort and Spa. As a Food Retail Host/Hostess, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional service to our guests, ensuring a memorable dining experience. This is an entry-level opportunity, and we're looking for individuals who are passionate about hospitality, customer service, and working in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Guest Experience: Greet and engage with all guests, ensuring a warm and welcoming experience.
• Order Taking and Processing: Take orders, operate the point-of-sale system, and process payments accurately.
• Food Preparation and Service: Prepare and serve food and beverages, maintaining high-quality standards and presentation.
• Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Respond to guest inquiries, provide directions, and offer exceptional customer service.
• Teamwork and Collaboration: Work effectively as part of a team to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Food Safety and Handling: Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to food safety and handling guidelines.
• Adaptability and Flexibility: Be flexible and adaptable, working varied shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Essential Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree: A degree in Hospitality, Business, or a related field is preferred.
• Language Skills: Excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to work in a multilingual environment.
• Cash Handling: Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Teamwork and Adaptability: Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team and adapt to changing situations.
• Customer Service: Exceptional customer service skills, with a focus on delivering memorable experiences.
Preferred Qualifications
• Food Service Experience: Previous experience in a food service environment, preferably in a quick-service or full-service restaurant.
• Outdoor Work Experience: Experience working outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Knowledge of Local Cuisine: Familiarity with local ingredients and traditional Hawaiian cuisine.
• Language Skills: Knowledge of Hawaiian or Japanese language is an asset.
