About the Role
We are currently preparing for an exciting opportunity for an Application Developer Lead to join our team. As a Salesforce expert, you will play a critical role in delivering and supporting complex technology solutions, driving significant change for Channel Improvement, US Authorized Stores, and our Global Authorized Stores. Your expertise in Salesforce will enable us to enhance our customer experience, improve operational efficiency, and drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development and implementation of technology and process solutions, establishing key business capabilities that enable the realization of strategic initiatives and operational improvements.
- Collaborate effectively across different technical and non-technical teams to maximize the benefits of the Salesforce platform, with a focus on lifting the customer experience.
- Deliver well-architected Salesforce solutions, leveraging your expertise in requirement analysis, solution design, and technical implementation.
- Lead, influence, negotiate, drive solutions, and mentor/coach less experienced designers and partners, ensuring the success of our Salesforce initiatives.

Technical Design and Execution
As an Application Engineer Lead, your technical expertise will be essential in driving the success of our Salesforce initiatives. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting project initiation efforts by aiding in the definition of project scope, identification of the targeted solution, and estimation of resource allocation.
- Participating in the solution design process, gathering requirements, refining excess, contributing to functional design, and leading technical design and development.
- Creating software solutions for business problems, using established design patterns and coding standards, and ensuring that solutions are secure, robust, flexible, scalable, and accessible.
- Utilizing integrated delivery methodologies and participating in scrum teams to implement solution delivery projects.
- Maintaining documentation to support training, system administration, configuration, and operational processes and procedures.
Stage Stewardship
As a Salesforce expert, you will play a critical role in shaping our platform strategy and ensuring the long-term success of our Salesforce initiatives. Your responsibilities will include:
- Proactively participating in shaping competitor solutions on the platform, exploring the business capability portfolio to guide and inform solution decisions.
- Contributing to the vision, roadmap, and platform investments required to take our business solutions to the next level, identifying, influencing, selling, and prioritizing innovative platform opportunities.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, such as Infrastructure, Security, Engineering, QA, and key Development teams, to reinforce and elevate the platform from a technology perspective.
- Developing vendor relationships to understand and influence vendor product offerings and roadmaps, improving support engagement, and gaining insight into technology trends.
Leadership
As an Application Engineer Lead, you will be expected to demonstrate strong leadership skills, guiding and directing the work of other developers and ensuring the success of our Salesforce initiatives. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing project leadership, initiating, coordinating, and supporting small to medium development efforts for a team of developers over a shared code base.
- Managing the delivery of multiple engineers in the team by establishing boundaries and guiding expectations.
- Representing the Development Team when engaged with cross-functional teams, including functional experts, Project Management, Development, Engineering, Infrastructure, and the business client.
- Negotiating and influencing others to achieve solutions and mutually beneficial outcomes in complex and ambiguous situations.
- Mentoring and coaching other application engineers in acquiring new skills and technologies.
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 4+ years of significant IT experience, with a strong background in Salesforce development and implementation.
- 3+ years of experience in Salesforce B2B Commerce, with a deep understanding of the Salesforce platform and design, data models, business out-of-the-box features, and capabilities.
- 4+ years of experience and understanding of the Salesforce platform, with a strong focus on Salesforce Commerce solutions.
- 3+ years of experience in an Agile and DevOps environment, with a strong understanding of integrated delivery methodologies and scrum teams.
- Solid knowledge of Salesforce B2B Commerce features and Salesforce community, with experience implementing large-scale business solutions centered on Salesforce Commerce solutions.
- Experience integrating Salesforce with various business systems, as well as working with integration tools (ETL, NiFI, Mulesoft, etc.).
- Development experience in Salesforce Lightning Web Components (LWC), with a strong understanding of Salesforce development best practices and design patterns.
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications would be highly desirable:
- Experience with other Salesforce products, such as Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, or Marketing Cloud.
- Knowledge of other programming languages, such as Java, Python, or C#.
- Experience with cloud-based technologies, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure.
- Certifications in Salesforce development, such as the Salesforce Developer certification or the Salesforce Architect certification.
