**Job Summary**
We're seeking an experienced Full Stack Data Engineer to join our Item Execution and Instrumentation Group, where you'll work closely with cross-functional teams to design, build, and deploy scalable data pipelines that support our business units. As a Senior Data Engineer, you'll be responsible for leading the development of our data architecture, ensuring data quality and integrity, and collaborating with stakeholders to drive business outcomes.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Design, build, and deploy scalable data pipelines using Scala, Python, and other programming languages
* Develop and maintain ETL pipelines in Big Data environments (cloud, on-prem, hybrid)
* Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and data analysts to design and implement data solutions
* Work with key stakeholders to define data requirements and ensure data quality and integrity
* Develop and maintain detailed documentation of data pipelines and architecture
* Ensure high functional proficiency and quality of data solutions to meet SLAs and support obligations to our clients (Data Science, Data Analysis groups)
* Participate in agile/scrum practices to ensure team health and collaboration
* Identify and solve complex problems, researching and organizing to find solutions
* Explore opportunities to automate processes and streamline costs
* Engage with and understand our clients, forming relationships that enable us to understand and focus on both innovative new offerings and steady platform enhancements
**Essential Qualifications**
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience
* Strong algorithmic thinking ability
* Solid SQL skills and ability to write queries to extract data and build performant datasets
* Active experience with distributed systems, such as Spark and PySpark, to query and handle data
* Strong knowledge of Scala and Python programming languages
* Experience with at least one major MPP or cloud database technology (ideally Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery)
* Strong experience with data integration toolsets (e.g., Apache Beam) and composing and maintaining data pipelines with Databricks
* Experience in data modeling procedures and data warehousing standard approaches and practices
* Familiarity with Scrum and Agile approaches
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including ability to work with others and build consensus in a cross-functional team towards an ideal outcome
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field
* Experience with cloud computing platforms, such as AWS (S3, EMR, EC2)
* Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI
* Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools, such as Docker and Kubernetes
* Experience with machine learning and AI technologies, such as TensorFlow or PyTorch
