Our Security and Legal Information Engineering team builds adaptable data management and extraction structures that form the core of our ability to maintain the highest standards of data protection and cleanliness in the industry. We're seeking an experienced Data Engineer to help us expand our capacity to build robust, versatile, protection-driven data structures. As part of this team, you'll work with various data technologies like Flash, Voila, Flink, Kafka, and others to create fast, flexible, and powerful data pipelines; write ETL tasks to collect and aggregate data; and design high-quality data structures that enable proper handling of user personal data.

About the Role
We're seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our Security and Legal Information Engineering team. As a Data Engineer, you'll play a critical role in building and maintaining our data ecosystem, ensuring that we're able to handle user data with the utmost care and adhere to the highest standards of data protection and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Engineer effective, versatile, and adaptable data pipelines to handle structured and unstructured data
- Foster a deep understanding of the data ecosystem at arenaflex from a data protection perspective
- Collaborate with the data protection engineering teams to understand product objectives and provide data that enables us to respond to user and regulatory data requests
- Maintain and reevaluate existing datasets and pipelines
- Join a talented team of data engineers who enhance our data protection and mitigate legal and regulatory risk
Essential Qualifications
- Energetic about consumer-driven data protection and risk mitigation for the business
- Proficient in at least one of Java, Python, or Scala with a minimum of 2 years of programming/data engineering experience
- Strong understanding of advanced SQL
- Experience in designing data pipelines using big data technologies (Hive, Voila, Flash, Flink) on medium to large-scale datasets
- Ability to take requirements and implement flexible data models and pipelines
- Passion for demonstrating excellence, learning new technologies, and growing your career
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Knowledge of data governance and data quality principles
- Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI)
- Strong understanding of data security and compliance regulations (GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA)
