Job Summary
We're looking for an experienced logistics and transportation professional to join our team in a Southeast Southwest Trucking role. As a key member of our team, you'll play a critical role in supporting our business operations, driving growth, and delivering exceptional results. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide logistics and transportation support to our business operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including supply chain management, operations, and customer service to drive business success
- Analyze and resolve complex logistics and transportation issues, identifying opportunities for process improvements and cost savings
- Develop and implement effective logistics and transportation strategies to meet business needs
- Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers, suppliers, and other stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies, and industry standards
- Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
Essential Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in logistics and transportation, preferably in a similar industry
- Strong knowledge of logistics and transportation operations, including regulations and industry standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders
- Proven problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Transportation, or a related field
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with transportation management systems (TMS) and logistics software
- Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards, such as DOT and FMCSA
- Certifications in logistics and transportation, such as C-TPAT or CSCP
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
