Job Summary
We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced 12th-grade core subjects teacher to join our team of educators in a remote setting. As a virtual teacher with iSchool Virtual Academy, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction to students in a virtual classroom setting, using a range of educational tools and technologies. This is a full-time position that requires a strong passion for teaching, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a virtual environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality instruction to 12th-grade students in core subjects, including English, math, science, and social studies
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with state standards and promote student learning
- Use a range of educational tools and technologies to deliver instruction, including video conferencing software, online learning platforms, and educational software
- Assess student progress and provide feedback to students and parents
- Participate in virtual team meetings and collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement educational programs
- Provide support to students with diverse learning needs, including students with disabilities and English language learners
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate with parents and guardians
Essential Qualifications
- Valid Texas teacher certification in 12th-grade core subjects
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- 1-3 years of teaching experience in a Texas public school or virtual setting
- Experience with mastery-based or individualized learning approaches to student education
- Proficient computer skills and comfort with technology, including video conferencing software and online learning platforms
