Job Summary
We are looking for a full-time Remote Call Center Customer Service Representative to join our team. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to Maryland residents seeking health insurance coverage. You will work in a remote call center environment, answering inbound phone calls, updating customer and account information, and responding to general customer inquiries. Key Responsibilities
- Answer inbound phone calls to provide information and assistance regarding health care insurance options to Maryland residents.
- Update customer and account information as needed, and maintain accurate records of customer interactions.
- Respond to general customer inquiries, and provide solutions to customer problems in a timely and professional manner.
- Utilize multiple database applications as resources to provide accurate and up-to-date information to customers.
- Be open to feedback and coaching, and strive to meet performance metrics for continued professional growth opportunities.
- Collaborate with colleagues and management to achieve team goals and objectives.
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- A high school diploma or equivalent; college attendance or degree is preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with customers and colleagues.
- At least 1 year of experience in a call center environment, with a proven track record of providing exceptional customer service.
- At least 1 year of experience in healthcare or a related field, with knowledge of health insurance coverage and terminology.
- Computer proficiency, with experience using multiple database applications and software systems.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and interact well with customers and colleagues.
- The ability to problem-solve, prioritize, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility and reliability, with a willingness to work occasional overtime as needed.
- The ability to pass required skill and knowledge assessment tests.
Preferred Qualifications
We prefer candidates who have:
- Experience working in a remote or virtual call center environment.
- Knowledge of health insurance coverage and terminology.
- Experience using software applications such as Windows 10, MAC OS 10.14 (Mojave) or higher.
