About the Role: Remote Customer Service Specialist
We are seeking a highly motivated and focused Remote Customer Service Specialist to be the first point of contact for our clients. As a Remote Travel Reservation Specialist at blithequark, you will have the opportunity to work with various vendors, customizing our clients' vacations to create lifelong memories. This role is perfect for individuals who are strong in critical thinking, planning, and have a drive for delivering exceptional customer service. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, plan, and execute travel sales, including but not limited to airline, car rental, cruises, hotels, tickets/events, and activities
- Process payments on behalf of clients, ensuring timely and secure transactions
- Provide all necessary documents to clients before and after travel, ensuring a seamless experience
- Deliver exceptional customer service to clients, responding to their queries and concerns in a professional and courteous manner
- Maintain relationships with travel partners and vendors, staying up-to-date on industry developments and policies
- Work collaboratively in a group/team setting, contributing to a positive and productive work environment
- Stay current on the travel industry and policies, completing required certification and ongoing training with blithequark and travel partners
Essential Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age or older and a resident of the United States
- Must have a smartphone and/or a computer with reliable internet access
- Ability to interact, communicate, and negotiate effectively with clients and vendors
- Ability to make travel and event recommendations based on clients' interests and preferences
- Ability to manage time and be organized, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines
- Attention to accuracy and detail, ensuring error-free transactions and communications
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with excellent phone and email etiquette
- Computer and Internet knowledge, with proficiency in using various software applications and tools
Preferred Qualifications:
- Personal travel experience, although not required, is considered an advantage
- Previous experience in customer service, travel, or a related field is desirable
- Familiarity with travel industry software and systems is a plus
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction
