Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Data Entry Clerk to join our team on a full-time remote basis. As a Data Entry Clerk, you will play a critical role in maintaining accurate and up-to-date customer information, processing payments, and ensuring seamless data entry operations. Key Responsibilities
- Payment Processing: Key driver payments upon receipt of notification from the payroll department, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payments.
- Customer Balance Management: Key in all adjustments needed to maintain proper customer balances, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Payment Batch Verification: Check printed edits to ensure payment batches balance, verifying proper credits to customer accounts.
- Batch Logging and Filing: Confirm batches are logged, dated, and filed in the proper place and date order, maintaining organized records.
- Customer List Maintenance: Maintain a complete and accurate computer-printed customer list, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
- Customer Status Updates: Key changes in customer status, such as charge to cash, cash to charge, address changes, and minor changes.
- Cash Receipt Log Follow-up: Follow up on the cash receipt log to ensure accuracy and distribution to proper personnel.
- Keying Completion: Ensure all keying is completed within 24 hours after receipt of all documents, meeting productivity and efficiency standards.
- A/R Daily Proof Book: Log the A/R Daily Proof Book with totals from A/R transaction ledger and route collections.
- Month-End Processing: At the end of the month, ensure all data is entered on the last working day prior to the end of the month to verify all data is entered and calculated on the statement.
- Additional Duties: Perform and assist in other duties as deemed necessary by the Credit Manager, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
Requirements and Qualifications
Essential Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience in data entry, customer service, or a related field.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Communication: Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with accounting software and systems.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Previous experience in a remote work environment.
